ASUS P5Q PRO does not work with two IDE devices (solved)

Status

Solved.

Problem

ASUS P5Q PRO does not work with two IDE devices.

Solution

Turn "Marvell IDE Boot ROM" in the BIOS settings enabled.

Problem with two DVD-ROM devices

  • Marvell IDE Boot ROM: Disabled
  • IDE Master: COMBO IDE5232CO (Cable Select)
  • IDE Slave: PIONEER DVD/CDRW DCR-111 (Cable Select)
  • The IDE master device is not recognized.
  • The IDE slave device is rejected.
